Festival of the Monarch at Botanica • Sedgwick County

At the festival, children will become a Monarch and travel along the migration path participating in games, activities, art and music. After they have migrated, they will arrive in ‘Mexico’ and enjoy a Mexican fiesta! Families will enjoy temporary tattoos, live music and a predator obstacle course. Children will also have an up close experience watching a wild Monarch being tagged. Once tagged the children will receive information on how to track their Monarch while it migrates from Kansas to Mexico.

Prairie Pride Plants will have milkweed plants and nectar bearing flowers for purchase for our returning monarchs.

Wing wearing is strongly encouraged!

Gen admission $7 or Members $3.
