Tens of thousands of woodland wildflowers grow in the140 acres of naturally planted woodlands at the Overland Park Arboretum. Ken O'Dell will give a one hour PowerPoint presentation showing many of these ephemerals, describing how they grow and how many of them reproduce and have continued to grow and multiple for the past several thousand years in these Eastern Kansas woodlands. Native wildflowers shown will include Trout Lily, Native Geraniums, Solomon Seal, False Solomon Seal, Rue Anemones, Jack-in-the-pulpit, Turks Cap Lily, and many others. If you are not a member of the arboretum or a volunteer there is a $3.00 admission fee at the gate. We will have seating for about 50 people so come early.
