Kelly Kindscher Speaking on Echinacea • Douglas County

The Kansas Land Trust (KLT) is hosting a presentation of Kelly Kindscherís new book ECHINACEA: Herbal Medicine with a Wild History on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 7 pm. The talk will take place at Flory Meeting Hall West, Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper Street, in Lawrence, KS.

Kelly, a Senior Scientist at the Kansas Biological Survey, will discuss medicinal uses for Echinacea and the need for conservation efforts to protect vital habitat for Echinacea and other native plants in our region.

Kelly also heads the Native Medicinal Plant Research Program at the University of Kansas and is a Professor in the Environmental Studies Department at the University of Kansas.

The Kansas Land Trust (KLT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and preserving Kansas lands of ecological, agricultural, scenic, and recreational significance.

The presentation is free and open to the public.
