18th Annual Cowley County Wildflower Tour • Cowley County

Tour a remote prairie location to view wildflowers and grasses in a beautiful southern Flinthills setting. Be sure to bring your camera to capture spectacular vista views and close ups of native prairie plants. Riding “hayrack” option will be available. Tour will include a pasture and watershed presentation in addition to wildflower identification walks with conservation specialists. Light breakfast and lunch will be served.

We will meet at Winfield High School at 7:30 a.m. to check in. At 8 a.m. sharp we load onto busses and depart to the tour location. After exploring several areas of this large private property we will gather for lunch. We will return to Winfield High School by 1:30 p.m.

Registration required by Friday June 2 so that we can plan for adequate transportation and food. Cost is $5.00.

Terrain can be uneven - hiking shoes are recommended as well as hats, bug spray and water.
