Walnut Council Field Day - Symposium • Johnson County

Everyone is welcome to attend the Walnut Council Field Day. Advance registration is appreciated so we can provide you with materials and lunch. Only $15 per person for the entire day (includes lunch). Download the flyer below for the entire schedule and advance registration form. Registration and check-in on June 2 begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by morning activities, lunch and afternoon activities, including:

Woodland tree identification hikes

Sawmill demonstrations

Wildlife management discussion

Woodland wildflower identification walk

Improving woodland health discussion

Diagnosing tree health

Stream bank and water quality management discussion

Come spend a day of learning and outdoor appreciation at the Overland Park Arboretum with the Walnut Council research team and KNPS native plant nurseryman.
