Landscaping with Native Plants • Douglas County

Thursday, Apr 19th, 2018 @ 7pm
Carnegie Building • 200 W. 9th St. • Lawrence, KS • Map

Native plants are beautiful and provide incredible garden design opportunities while also benefiting wildlife. Join GHF for the second workshop in our 2018 Native Plant Gardening Workshop Series and learn about the basics of native garden design.

This workshop will feature Patti Ragsdale, owner of Happy Apple’s Farm. Patti became fascinated by native plants while studying wildlife management at MU and began using them in all her gardens. She’s been growing, selling, and planting display gardens that highlight their use in home landscapes since 2014.

An RSVP is encouraged. Email GHF at to RSVP and for more information.

The GHF workshops series is for everyone who wants to learn more about gardening with natives.

The series includes presentations, native garden tours, online and print resources, and plant sales. Check out the GHF website at or follow GHF on Facebook to learn more.
