E 1700 Road and N 500 Road • Baldwin City, KS • Map

The Kansas Biological Survey will host a public tour of the KU Field Stationís Baldwin Woods site on Saturday, April 28, 10 a.m. to noon. This tour will focus on the pristine native oak-hickory forest portion of the site, and visitors should expect to see spring ephemeral wildflowers of the forest floor.

Meet on N 500 Road, Douglas County, just east of E 1700 Road, 2 miles south of Vinland. Do not park on E 1700, which is a busy road; instead, park along N 500 Road.

Trails are likely to be muddy; wear appropriate footwear, and bring water, a hat and insect repellant. The tour will be cancelled if weather is inclement. Please contact Jennifer Delisle (jdelisle@ku.edu) with questions.
