This event is sponsored by Flint Hills Discovery Center and will be held offsite at Washington Marlatt Memorial Park. Join us for a walk through wonderful wildflowers at Washington Marlatt Memorial Park--also known as "Top of the World"-- in Manhattan. In this Walk and Talk, we will be joined by Michael John Haddock. Haddock serves as Associate Dean for Research, Education and Engagement at K-State Libraries.

In 1996, Haddock created the website “Kansas Wildflowers and Grasses,” which he continues to maintain. Now in its 22nd year, the site includes nearly 7,000 identification photos for 893 species of forbs, grasses, sedges, trees, and other woody plants.

Pre-registration is required. Please register online, by calling 785-587-2726, or in person at the Flint Hills Discovery Center.

We will meet at the south parking lot of Washington Marlatt Memorial Park.
