Hidden Valley Fall Fun Workday • Douglas County

Join Girl Scouts and community members at this privately-owned 40-acre urban wilderness camp located in the heart of Lawrence. This annual fall workday is our biggest of the year, with tasks available for all ages and abilities; individuals, groups an families welcome. Sample tasks include wetland maintenance, pollinator garden maintenance including seed collection, tree planting and mulching, invasive honeysuckle brush removal and burning, trail and woodpile work, and much more. Warm up to hot fires with s'mores and hot cocoa.
Gloves, tools, refreshments and project oversight provided...no experience necessary. Dress for the weather; layers are best, and totally enclosed shoes.
No unaccompanied minors under 15. For 15 and above, email the contact for waiver to print, have a parent sign, and bring with you. Carpooling for groups is essential.
