Meet at 8th and Jackson, downtown Topeka, for a walking tour of the bioretention cells between 5th and 8th streets on Jackson. We'll discuss native plants, bioretention cells, rain gardens, and pollution control. This project won the 2006 KNPS Rachel Snyder Landscape Award. Native Plants will be available for purchase after the walk. Walk leaders will be Vivien Smith, City of Topeka and Jeff Hansen, Kansas Native Plant Society.
