Jerry Smith Park Trail Dedication and Interpretive Hike

All MPF members and supporters are invited to the dedication of a hiking trail in this original remnant prairie within the city limits of Kansas City. MPF produced and helped fund interpretive panels for the trail, and has also helped eradicate invasive plants for several years at this urban prairie owned by Kansas City Parks and Recreation. Jerry Smith Park, 139th & Prospect Ave. Trailhead is located at the south entrance of Jerry Smith Park. Off of 139th Street, just West of Prospect. Entrance is signed.
