Theme: Opportunities and constraints in managing for heterogeneity on privately owned ranches.
Wednesday, October 20 - Hotel, Bartlesville. 1 to 5 p.m. presentations (focused on the theme). 5 to 7 p.m. social and posters (on any related topic).
Thursday, October 21 - Bus Tour of Tallgrass Prairie Preserve. Interpretation and Q&A led by Bob Hamilton. Discussion/presentation by adjacent ranchers about their first experiences with leaving portions of a pasture unburned-effects on cattle performance and wildlife. 5 p.m. Social event and barbeque at the Preserve Headquarters.
Friday, October 22 - Hotel, Bartlesville. Concurrent sessions 8 tonoon: (1) Rancher focus group with OSU facilitator to assess rancher attitudes and perceptions about heterogeneity management; (2) Continued participant presentations and/or round-robin discussion of PBWG issues.
Note: Invited ranchers will be able to apply for travel scholarships through OSU to attend the meeting.
