Riley Co. Conservation Dist. will host a Wildflower Walk to learn about wildflowers and pollinators native to Riley County. The tour will be held at the Haines Family Ranch northwest of Manhattan in a pasture. Come see what effects a Patch Burn grazing system has on wildlife habitat. We will also discuss native pollinator habitat. Directions (From Manhattan-5.3 miles NW of Manhattan on Hwy 24 to W 71st Ave (by RB Outpost), or 3.3 miles E/SE of the Hwy 24/77 interchange). Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and long pants – this is a walking pasture tour over uneven ground. Please plan accordingly, no restroom will be available and pets will not be allowed. Please RSVP to Bob Lienemann at the Riley Co Conservation Dist. 785-537-8764 ext. 5. Please let us know if you have any special needs.
