Schedule of Events:
11am - Kansas Flora and Fauna, According to Lewis and Clark. Learn about the native flora and fauna that were discovered and documented in journals by Lewis and Clark on their journey through the state.
1pm - Animals of Kansas. Learn all about the animals that call KS home as well as animals that used to roam the state. You will also meet some "live" animals that are KS residents. We will play a fun bison game following the presentation.
3pm - Prehistoric Kansas Hike. Do we find dinosaur fossils in KS? Join us on the Stotler Cove Nature Trail as we investigate what KS looked like in prehistoric times. We'll also look for common fossils in the area, weather-permitting.
Please dress for the weather. Kansas-themed crafts will be available all day and our Lewis and Clark Discovery Trunk will be on display. The F.L. Schlagle Environmental Library is an environmental learning center located inside Wyandotte County Lake Park.
