Jackson Street Spring Wildflower Walk • Shawnee County
Thursday, Jul 7th, 2011 @ 6-7:30pm
SW 8th Ave & SW Jackson St • Topeka, KS • Map
Join Topeka Public Works employees and KNPS members for a walk along the Jackson Street bioretention cells. Created in 2003, these cells collect stormwater and filter the water through the use of native plantings. Topics discussed will include the planning of the cells, landscaping of the area, water treatment and, of course, the native plantings. This walk coincides with Top City Thursday, so there will be other activities to participate in downtown throughout the evening. Meet at the NW corner of 8th & Jackson. Please RSVP Mickey by email if you plan to attend.
