2540 SW Gage Blvd. • Topeka, KS • Map
Tom Hammer, GHF board member and City of Topeka Park Naturalist will lead a walk through the prairie at the Warren Nature Area in Topeka. The City of Topeka is currently working to restore the prairie and this will be a good opportunity to see the results of their work up close and learn more about the restoration process. Part of the tour will include a section that was sprayed and seeded with hand collected seed from Grant-Bradbury prairie park. Topeka Audubon Society & Kansas Native Plant Society volunteers have helped with various volunteer work in the park. Warren Nature Area is located at 25th and Gage (south of the V. A. Hospital and K.N.I.). Contact GHF at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Meet in the Felker parking lot.
