The Jayhawk Audubon Society and the Grassland Heritage Foundation are co-sponsoring a presentation by Dr. Kelly Kindscher, Senior Scientist with the KS Biological Survey and Professor at KU in the Environmental Studies Program. Known best to most people simply as "Kelly," he will share information about his current work with The Native Medicinal Plant Research Program at KU. Kelly is a passionate advocate for native plants, native landscapes and wild places. He is the author of two books: Edible Wild Plants of the Prairie (1987) and Medicinal Wild Plants of the Prairie (1992). We will also have a "Buy Your Own" dinner with Kelly at 5:00 p.m. at Free State Brewery, with the program beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Trinity Lutheran Church, just east of the intersection of 13th & Massachusetts in Lawrence.
