Thursday, Apr 5th, 2012 @ 6pm
Cedar Crest • 1 SW Cedar Crest Rd • Topeka, KS • Map
Explore the woods at MacLennan Park (Cedar Crest). These oak-hickory woods have an abundance of native woodland wildflowers. We will hike on the Kansas Trails Councilís newly built trails at MacLennan Park and scout for wildflowers. The first wildflowers of the season will be blooming: fawn lily (both the pink and the white species) and Dutchman's breeches. Meet at the parking lot on the west side of the governor mansion. Directions: From I-70, take the Fairlawn exit, go north to Cedar Crest and take a left, follow road to parking lot.
