Smoky Hills Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary • Salina, KS • Map
Come help plant wildflower seeds at the Smoky Hills Audubon Sanctuary. The seeds have been purchased and the site has been prepared. This event is part of long term possibilities for enhancing the sanctuary's native vegetation and discouraging invasive plant species. You are welcome to stay awhile and walk the trails or sit by the pond. We also plan to get community kids to participate with the seed planting. Come out and join us in this celebration of prairie.
Directions are I 70 from Salina Exit 249 South on Hedville Road about 1/2 mile to Stimmel Road (Ell-Saline Elementary on sw corner). About 1/2 mi. east on Stimmel is our Kiosk and entry to the Sanctuary on the north side of the road.
