The 23rd North American Prairie Conference at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, August 6 – 10, 2012, is the first time this major international event will be held in western Canada. Over 400 native prairie experts and enthusiasts from across Canada, the USA and elsewhere are expected to attend. The 23rd NAPC’s theme ”Celebrating Our Prairie Heritage” features state-of-the-art research on the amazing prairie ecosystem that supports us all. From biology and wildlife to conservation, restoration, education, history, culture and art, the 23rd NAPC is guaranteed to whet appetites and stimulate interest in one of the world’s greatest, yet most endangered ecosystems.
