Plant Pollinator Gardens • Johnson County

East Cedar Street & South Keeler Street • Olathe, KS • Map
Come help CCI Advisory group plant 4 new pollinator gardens at the CCI Superfund site. This once highly contaminated site has been cleaned up and is now ready to be replanted with pollinator gardens and native plants.
Your help is needed. Join us at 9:00 and listen to Chip Tayler discuss the history of the site and the exciting new pollinator garden project. After Chip's presentation we'll divide into teams and plant until 2:00 PM. Wear clothes appropriate for gardening and bring gloves. You will get dirty. The planting holes will be dug by augers so volunteers will simply plant the new seedlings and help mulch. Volunteers should also bring water and a snack.
This planting party should be both fun and instructive and you will be participating in the creation of a wonderful educational resource. This event will also mark the return of this once dangerous site to public use. Park on East Cedar and on South Blake. RSVP Chip if you plant to attend.
