Drought-Tolerant Plants for the Garden • Miami County
Thursday, Mar 28th, 2013 @ 6:30-7:30pm
Miami County Extension Office • 104 S. Brayman • Paola, KS • Map
The past two summers have been record-breakers for heat and drought; both plants and gardeners have suffered the pain. This presentation will review the 50 year history of drought in our area and discuss ornamental and native plants that have proven to be drought tolerant or somewhat drought tolerant in Miami County and Eastern Kansas.
MICO EMG Ken O’Dell is a master plantsman, owner of Spring Valley Nursery and Regional Director of the Kansas Native Plant Society. He is a frequent, favorite presenter to gardening groups throughout the area.
