Our 35th annual Prairie Festival is rapidly approaching! As in prior years, it will begin with the traditional barn dance and bonfire on Friday at 8 p.m. (Sept. 27); the lectures will run on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Our Saturday evening entertainment will be the wonderful Susan Werner - here's a link to her just released CD, https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/hayseed-bonus-track/id663083664?ls= . There is no additional fee to attend the concert, and the general public is invited to attend. Our gallery artist this year is Philip Heying, a world-renowned photographer from Lawrence, Kansas. We hope you will join us to hear presentations by:
Mark Bittman (NY Times columnist & cookbook author)
Peter Brown (McGill University)
John Fullerton (Capital Institute founder)
Lisi Krall (SUNY-Cortland)
Sandra Lubarsky (Appalachian State)
and of course: Wes Jackson, Stan Cox, Tim Crews and other Land Institute staff.
