Why do plants change color in the fall? This presentation will explain the processes that reveal the vivid red, orange and yellow pigments in leaves. The Powerpoint presentation illustrates the many trees, shrubs, colorful perennials, vines and grasses that glory our area each fall.
Ken O’Dell is a master plantsman and Regional Director of the Kansas Native Plant Society. He is a frequent, favorite presenter to gardening groups throughout the area. There is a $3 fee to enter the Arboretum but the class is free.
