Webster Reservoir Wildflower Walk #3 of 4 • Rooks County
Saturday, Jun 7th, 2014 @ 10am-noon
Webster State Park • 1210 Nine Rd. • Stockton, KS • Map
Join KNPS region leader Chelsea Erickson and her husband Donald at Webster Reservoir to observe wildflowers. Four walks are planned throughout the spring and early summer, so you will see different flowers on each walk. Plan to attend all four walks to see the changing flora. Park staff have recently expanded Coyote Trail so there are new opportunities to explore! Join us for a wonderful outdoor experience! The group will congregate at the park’s northeast entrance headquarters building at 10:00 am and plan for a 2 hour excursion each time. Bring a picnic lunch if you wish to continue exploring the area beyond the allotted time period.
Webster Reservoir is located just south of Highway 24, about 8 miles west of Stockton. A State Park permit is required to enter the park. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for hiking, bring plenty of water, wear sunscreen. Contact Chelsea if you plan to attend.
