Saturday, Jun 14th, 2014 @ 9am
Sandsage Bison Range Office • 785 S. Hwy 83 • Garden City, KS • Map

This is a great opportunity to see one of Kansas' unique natural communities. Attendees will be taken out into the Sandsage Prairie. Property Manager Tom Norman will talk about the sandsage prairie and identify the various forbs and grasses that make the sandsage prairie unique.

The tour begins at 9:15 am. Arrive early to check in. You will board a open air trailer and be taken onto the sandsage prairie. Each trailer holds a maximum of 25 people. Registration is required. Notify Anthony with your tour start time and number attending. Bison may be seen even though the flora of the sandsage will be the focus. Stops will be made where visitors can get off the trailer to see the various plants. Please prepare for hot, sunny and typically windy weather. There is no charge for the tour but donations are appreciated.
