Annual NABA butterfly count in the Flint Hills. No prior experience in identifying butterflies is necessary. To participate, please RSVP to
620-273-8494 (then hit 0) or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a head count and to reserve a free lunch.After a brief introduction, participants will divide into groups led by one or more volunteers with strong butterfly identification skills. Butterfly counts will run from approximately 9:00 a.m. to noon and again from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a lunch break between the morning and afternoon sessions. Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the preserve’s Visitor Center near the big elm tree in north parking area.
