Say “Hasta Luego Monarchs” at the Pollinator Prairie event in Olathe, Kansas

The public is invited to experience the wonderment of the Monarch migration to Mexico.

WHAT: HASTA LUEGO MONARCHS

The Pollinator Prairie Volunteer group will host a family-friendly event at The Pollinator Prairie in Olathe, Kansas to celebrate the annual migration of the Monarch butterfly to Mexico. People of all ages are invited to learn about how Monarchs and other butterfly species interact with plants including the hands-on activities:
• Demonstrations by Monarch Watch including tag and release of Monarch butterflies every half hour
• Caterpillar exhibit by the local Johnson County Master Gardeners Wildlife Committee

This event is free and open to the public.

WHEN: SEPTEMBER 20, 2014
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

DIRECTIONS: FROM KANSAS CITY:
1. Take I-35 South
2. Take exit 218 toward Santa Fe
3. Merge onto E. Santa Fe St.
4. Turn left on N. Blake St.
