Spring Planting and Workday at Hidden Valley Camp • Douglas County

Rain date: April 18; Volunteers are invited to help prepare the camp for another season of outdoor fun for local Girl Scouts and other youth. Concentrating on the eastern third of the 40-acre camp, tasks will include prairie and garden maintenance, planting native trees and shrubs, campsite cleanup and renovations, litter pickup, clearing back encroaching growth and more.
No special skills are needed; after signing in, you will be assigned to a project under the direction of project leaders. Tools, gloves and refreshments provided. Dress for the weather and wear durable, totally enclosed shoes. Any amount of time appreciated. Email or call the contact person for more details.
