Hidden Valley Camp • 3420 W. Bob Billings Pkwy • Lawrence, KS • Map
In celebration of National Trails Day, Hidden Valley Camp will be open to the public for guided hiking tours, featuring both easy, 1/2 hour hikes beginning at 11:30 and noon, and longer, more difficult 1-hour hikes beginning at 11:30 am. Volunteers can also come help with trail maintenance projects from 8-11:30 am. After your hike or trail work, visit with the Membership and PR committees for refreshments, exhibits and to learn more about the Friends of Hidden Valley.
This 40-acre urban wilderness camp supports local Girl Scouts and other youth, as well as diverse plant and animal life. There are two miles of trails crossing streams, prairie, hills, meadow and woods. See a native butterfly garden and our new, large pollinator areas, a flowering bioswale, and current projects, including continuing efforts at honeysuckle eradication. An RSVP appreciated but not necessary. For more information, visit our website or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Rain date is June 7th.
