Snyder Prairie Workday: Brush Clearing • Jackson County
Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 @ 9am
158th Rd & U Rd • Mayetta, KS • Map
GHF’s volunteer prairie management group, Groundhogs, meets at Snyder Prairie on the 3rd Saturday of each month of the year, except December. Snyder Prairie is a 140-acre tract of land composed of prairie and woods east of Mayetta, Kansas. Contact Frank to help.
We continue with what we started last month and cut trees and shrubs and pile debris in the field undergoing restoration located north of the unplowed native prairie. Dress appropriately for field work, wear boots, jeans, and a hat and bring leather gloves. Bring some loppers and a personal supply of water and perhaps a snack.
