Director Dr. John Briggs will provide an overview of the Konza Prairie Biological Station and lead a short walking tour of nearby research plots.
Directions from Manhattan: Immediately after crossing the Kansas River Bridge, turn south on McDowell Creek Road (County highway 901). Proceed approximately 6.2 miles to the Konza Prairie Lane turn-off on the left. Follow the gravel road past the public trailhead until reaching the headquarters buildings. We will gather on the south side of the stone house. Directions from Interstate I-70: Take exit 307 (McDowell Creek Road/highway 901) and proceed north approximately 4.7 miles to the Konza Prairie Lane turn-off on the right. Follow the gravel road past the public trailhead until reaching the headquarters buildings.
