Wildflower Tour in Concordia Region • Cloud County

Saturday, Apr 23rd, 2016 @ 1pm
Private Farms South of Concordia • Concordia, KS • Map

This is a great opportunity to explore a privately owned, preserved native area in North Central Kansas. There is no charge and anyone can join the tour. Follow a KNPS guide and tour the property to discover wildflowers, native grasses, sedges, trees, shrubs and more. The rare "Fremont's Clematis" can be found in abundance on one of the properties as well as Green Milkweed, Spider Milkweed, Golden Prairie Clover, Old Plainsman and Black Sampson Echinacea to name a few.

Wear sturdy shoes. It is suggested to bring a camera, insect repellent, sun screen, hat, water and a snack if you choose.

Meet in the SE corner of the Concordia Walmart Parking Lot (140 College Drive) at 1:00 p.m. for introductions and caravan to the tour sites.
