Join Little Bluestem Listserv
Attention: ALL Kansas Teachers Whose Classrooms are Supporting the Little Bluestem For Kansas State Grass Initiative
Since this initiative is a “grassroots effort,” those of us who are coordinating really need to know where those “grassroots” are located and who they are. If you and your classroom are including learning more about Little Bluestem and the prairie ecosystem in your class, AND encouraging the selection of Little Bluestem as our State Grass, (even in a modest way), we would like to post teacher’s name, school name, city, and grade level(s) of classroom on our website.
We would also like to add your information to our Little Bluestem Listserv so we can send you updates as the process proceeds. We are very hopeful that we will have a hearing before a legislative committee this year. At that time, it is probable some classes will be invited to go to that hearing and help present the case for Little Blue. The Listserv will help ensure quick and accurate communication between coordinators and teachers at that point.
