Planting for Pollinators – Volunteer activity
May 28 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm CDT
Join us in helping monarch butterflies and pollinators by adding 2,000 native plants to one of Lawrence’s most beloved parks! The Kansas Biological Survey & Center for Ecological Research (KU) is leading a project to plant 11 acres with native wildflowers and grasses at the Mutt Run Off-Leash Dog Park at Clinton Lake in Lawrence. This is the second of two volunteer opportunities to help improve habitat at this newly seeded grassland. It’s a great activity for all ages – bring the kids!
