Join local Girl Scouts, students and the public for a morning of camp chores and the opportunity to catch and tag a Monarch Butterfly! This is for all ages, abilities and energy! Come alone or bring a crowd. Chores are centered in the middle of our 40-acre semi-wilderness camp, with the emphasis on a thorough cabin cleaning and butterfly gardening. Other chores include cleaning the outbuildings, renovating campsites, stocking woodpiles, mulching trees and more.
Any amount of time is appreciated...come and go as you please. Wear appropriate clothing, totally enclosed shoes, apply bug protection and bring a water bottle. Gloves, tools and instruction provided, as well as refreshments. Park in the main lot (carpooling HIGHLY recommended) and walk down the gravel road to the red brick cabin to sign in. All minors under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. For 15 and above, you can request a waiver by email to be printed and signed by your parent and brought with you.
Spontaneous attendance will not be turned away, but a quick emailed RSVP is appreciated, especially for groups. To RSVP, request a waiver, or for more information:
